A silver RC ring designed by Finnish goldsmith Timo Mustajärvi. Only a limited, individually numbered edition of 50 rings will be made. You may choose your preferred number, provided it is still available (numbers 1, 4 and 7 have already been sold).
Each ring is individually handcrafted for its owner and can also be engraved with the owner's initials upon request. The ring weighs approximately 31 grams and comes with ruby eyes as standard. However, the gemstones used for the eyes can be chosen according to the customer's personal preference.
Goldsmith Timo Mustajärvi works in the artists' community of Fiskars, where he has his own workshop. He describes his journey into jewellery design as follows:
"My story as a designer began in 1986, when I enrolled in carpentry school. This marked the beginning of my journey into the world of design. I have always had a passionate approach to design. After graduating as a carpenter, I realised that wood did not speak to me in the same way as stones and metal.
I acquired my first stock of gemstones when my employer at the time went bankrupt. The collection and tools I purchased were excellent, and they marked the beginning of a journey that I am still pursuing today, surrounded by the magnificent scenery of Fiskars Village.
In 2000, I opened my own workshop in Suomenlinna, Helsinki. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Suomenlinna inspired my creativity on an entirely new level. Before moving to Suomenlinna, I had worked at a workshop in the Lappeenranta Fortress since 1997. I have been based in Fiskars Village since 2002. All these beautiful surroundings have played an essential role in the design and story of Jalo."
